Dr. Adane is a Manager at InnoTech Alberta Inc, Edmonton. Primarily, he leads a multidisciplinary team that supports applied research, technology development, and innovation solution projects in materials, asset performance, and advanced manufacturing with focus areas include hydrogen influence on materials and technologies, corrosion engineering, materials engineering, CCUS, fluid transport technologies and processes, pipeline technologies, welding engineering, and advanced manufacturing. With over 25 years of experience in mechanical and chemical engineering, he has spent almost the last two decades in Alberta's energy sector. He has led a team that successfully developed over 10 technologies which are at various stages of readiness level and has authored or co-authored over 80 publications including a handbook and industry manuals. He holds degrees in mechanical engineering with a PhD from University of Manitoba, Winnipeg and is a registered professional engineer in the province of Alberta.
