Omar Khayum

Vice President, Energy Origination and Development
TC Energy

Omar Khayum is the Vice President of Energy Origination and Development at TC Energy. He is responsible for the origination of new business for TC Energy's power, natural gas, and low carbon commodity marketing and trading business. Khayum is also responsible for origination and development of low carbon projects for TC Energy. ​

​Most recently, Khayum served as the CEO of Annova LNG, a 6.5 MTPA LNG export development project in Texas. He was responsible for all aspects of Annova LNG, including project development, offtake origination and financing. Prior to Annova LNG, Khayum held several leadership roles in the power and natural gas industries. He was Managing Director at Constellation Energy where he led origination for their natural gas and LNG businesses, which is one of the top ten marketers of natural gas in the United States. He was a Director at Exelon Corporation where he led commercial activities for their power development business. In that role, Khayum worked on the development, financing and construction of over $3 billion of new power generation assets, including natural gas, wind, solar and battery storage representing over 2.5 GW of power capacity spanning the continental United States. He also worked on the origination and execution of nuclear advisory services to international nuclear power stations in Japan and the UK. Khayum has also held roles in Corporate Strategy and Corporate Finance at Exelon during his tenure at the company. ​

​Khayum holds an MBA in Economics, Finance and Entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago and a BS in Computer Science from Purdue University.
