Mark Cuglietta is a Senior Research Engineer at C-FER Technologies, where he manages and executes research and testing programs related to material and product performance in challenging environments. He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 2003, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto in 2013. His current initiatives include the development and construction of a full-scale test system designed to evaluate products and materials in their as-manufactured state in extreme corrosive or hydrogen-containing environments, as well as a comprehensive material test facility for evaluating material coupons in high-pressure hydrogen environments. A demonstration test program for the full-scale test system is set to begin this year. His research background and experience include high temperature fuel cells, atmospheric plasma spraying, engineered coatings for high temperature applications, light hydrocarbon reforming, and sulfide/stress corrosion cracking.
