Genghis Khan is the Aviation Sustainability Platform Leader guiding a team of about two-dozen engineering researchers at GE Aerospace Research in Niskayuna, New York, USA – the advanced research and development arm of GE Aerospace headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and has been with GE for 32 years. GE Aerospace is a world-leading provider of jet and turboprop engines, as well as integrated systems for commercial, military, business, and general aviation aircraft. Genghis’ Sustainability team focuses in three main areas: Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF), Hydrogen for Aviation – both combustion and fuel cells, and Ecosystems and Climate Modeling including contrails and other emissions. They are the early technology development backbone of GE Aerospace’s commitment to a more sustainable future by investing now in bold propulsion technologies for the future of flight.
