2023 Strategic Program Speakers

Marie-Claude Dumas is the President and CEO of WSP in Canada. A licensed engineer with multidisciplinary experience in multiple global companies, Dumas joined WSP in January 2020 to serve as the company’s Global Director for Major Projects and Programs and Executive Market Leader for Quebec. 

As an engineer, Dumas has helped manage major projects and joint ventures for complex builds in the buildings sector, including the Ste-Justine Hospital EPC project in Quebec. She has also been heavily involved in the hydro sector, developing key assets in Canada and abroad. 

As an executive, she has been instrumental in the delivery of key programs both for business development and corporate social responsibility. In her management roles, she introduced new systems for account management and team communications that led directly to increases in the bottom line and helped strengthen the overall execution of project delivery. 

Now into her third year as WSP Canada’s President and CEO, Dumas continues to push initiatives that will improve the quality of the work the company does for its clients: strengthening collaboration, creating a more diverse and inclusive workplace, embracing innovation, and building ESG into all operations. With a people-centric approach to all facets of the organisation, she is working to build WSP into the premier engineering and professional services firm in Canada.
