2023 Technical Committee

Patrick Bain is the Director, Hydrogen Projects & Technology Development, for ATCO’s Natural Gas division. With close to 13 years’ experience, he has held progressively senior roles in engineering management, design, and project management for natural gas transmission pipelines. Patrick is currently responsible for leading a team of experts through the scoping, design and execution of key initiatives, including the Fort Saskatchewan Hydrogen Blending pilot, the development of Canada’s first 100% hydrogen-fueled building (2023 opening), and advancing promising hydrogen and decarbonization technologies.
