2023 Technical Courses

Chris Varnado joined Certarus in August of 2022 and is currently Business Development Manager for the Hydrogen group, helping to lead the transition to a low carbon future by providing industrial customers with a safe, reliable solutions to utilize hydrogen instead of higher emission fuels. Prior to joining Certarus, Chris worked for Chart Industries in various roles, including commercialization of a cutting-edge carbon capture technology as well as LNG Business Development, helping clients develop projects and solutions for all parts of the LNG value chain. Chris spent over a dozen years in the gas processing industry with Johnson Matthey, developing solutions to treat and condition natural gas. He got his start as a process engineer for Occidental Chemical Corporation (OxyChem), where he gained the facility operation and problem-solving experience that help him even today to understand client needs and develop cost effective solutions in the Hydrogen market. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University. He is an avid fly fisherman and while he hits the river when he can, he mostly spends his free time with his wife and two daughters doing whatever activity they are into at the time.
