Technology Strategy Lead
Emissions Reduction Alberta

Grace Meikle is the Technology Strategy Lead at Emissions Reduction Alberta where she oversees strategic knowledge sharing of ERA’s project portfolio. She has 10 years’ experience in clean energy technology scale-up, business development and project management. In her current role she manages clean energy innovation projects at a high technology readiness with a focus on hydrogen and CCUS technologies spanning multiple industries. Previously, Grace worked in the US and Canadian nuclear industries and in oil and gas field operations in Alberta. She has a B.Sc. in Physics and Mandarin from the University of Notre Dame. This abstract is being prepared in collaboration with Alberta Innovates.

Below are bios of the Alberta Innovates contributors: Dr. Murray Gray has served as Senior Technical Advisor, Bitumen Partial Upgrading at Alberta Innovates for the past five years. He has has over 30 years of oilsands R&D experience at the University of Alberta, and has served in university leadership roles in the Middle East. His success in collaborative research with industry on the development of Canada’s oilsands has been recognized by numerous awards and prizes. Dr. Gray has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Caltech and an M. Eng. degree with a specialization in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Calgary. David Van Den Assem is a Director of Clean Technology with Alberta Innovates, and Director of the Alberta Hydrogen Centre of Excellence. He is focused on advancing innovative technologies from proof of concept to field pilot stages, and supporting the integration of hydrogen into the energy system. David brings over 25 years of project management, business unit management, and environmental leadership across several sectors including power, oil sands, mining and real estate.
