Hossein received his PhD from the University of Queensland in Australia where he investigated integrity of pipelines. He has over 20 years of experience and an extensive knowledge in asset integrity management, governance and is Worley’s Subject Matter Expert in Hydrogen Pipelines; asset remaining life assessment and life extension studies.

Hossein Leads Worley’s asset advisory team in the East Coast of Australia where he has been heavily involved in energy transition projects with clients in Australia and globally at Worley specifically with H2 in pipelines. This has resulted in being involved in the front end of developing knowledge and industry guidelines for H2 pipelines shaping the direction of research and innovation. His recent involvements with H2 includes:

• Leading Infrastructure Victoria Gas Infrastructure Repurposing assessment project assessing suitability of gas infrastructure to H2, CCS and Biogas.
• Study lead for Blending H2 and Repurposing a whole network in Multiple Regions
• Leading the FFCRC project to develop a methodology and roadmap for fitness for service assessment of repurposed and new H2 pipelines.
• A Lead Author for the Australian “Code of Practice for Hydrogen pipelines”.
• Representing FFCRC and APGA at international consortium of Emerging Fuel project between Pipeline PRCI, EPRG, GERG, and GTI.
