Nima has been leading the strategic growth and management of large engineering teams comprised of highly skilled technical personnel for about 15 years. He is a principal engineer specialized in design, development, and execution of Hydrogen, CCS/CCUS, and conventional energy systems with an industry-leading expertise in the materials and welding engineering aspects of major renewable and conventional energy projects. As an engineering specialist in CO2 pipelines and CCS/CCUS systems, he has authored and presented peer-reviewed work on CCUS systems at international conferences.
He is a specialist contributing member of a number of the American Petroleum Institute (API) and Canadian Standard Associations (CSA) committees and task groups concerning Hydrogen and CCUS energy systems, and welding technologies.
Nima has been awarded a number of international engineering awards, including prizes from UKOPA (United Kingdom Onshore Pipeline Association), TD Williamson (for Dissertation work on CO2 pipelines and CCUS systems), and Eni - Saipem Snamprogetti. Nima holds a Masters degree in Oil and Gas Pipeline Engineering (Distinction) from Newcastle University (UK), an MBA (Hon.) from the University of Calgary, and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Toronto.
