The transportation industry is poised for disruptive change.

I am excited to be advancing projects that increase safety, advance operational efficiencies, and extend environmental benefits to the transportation sector and our community.

Current projects include:
- Alberta Zero Emissions Truck Electrification Collaboration(AZETEC), a $17.5 million Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERAs) project that will design, develop and operate 2 heavy duty hydrogen fuel cell electric trucks for 18 months on Alberta's highways.
- Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Development (EVID), a $4 million Natural Resource Canada (NRCan) project that will develop and operate Canada's first hydrogen fueling station for commercial vehicles.
- Cooperative Truck Platooning System (CTPS) on-road trial, a $2.7 million Transport Canada project that will demonstrate heavy duty automated vehicles, review fuel efficiencies, analyze dynamic vehicle interactions and investigate the driver experience and the human machine interface with connected automated vehicle technologies
- Hydrogen Vehicle Demonstrations, a $3.3 million project that will introduce OEM hydrogen vehicles to Albertan carriers.

I am thrilled to be advancing research and innovation for the commercial transportation industry. Through interactions with transportation stakeholders AMTA's research team is supporting the safe integration of new and innovative technologies to Alberta's roads. Trials and technologies provide critical industry data for market adoption and the advancement of novel technologies.
