She is a distinguished leader, renowned speaker, and thought leader recognized for her dedication to fostering academic excellence, applied research and innovation in the energy and environmental sectors.
Before her current position at NAIT, she held roles as the Interim Director of Applied Research and Program Manager for Energy & Environment, where she oversaw applied research and training programs focusing on cleaner energy, environmental sustainability, grid innovation, and the development of sensors and systems to enhance operational performance for industries in Alberta. She has significantly contributed to developing programs to improve workforce skills in the energy and natural resource sectors, ensuring alignment with the industry's rapidly evolving demands.
Agatha's contributions extend beyond her academic roles. She was appointed as a Board Director and Chair of the Innovation Committee of the Canadian Hydrogen Association and an Expert External Reviewer with Emissions Reduction Alberta, where she was vital in allocating $25 million worth of provincial funds to advance hydrogen technologies across Alberta.
Dr. Ojimelukwe holds a B.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of Port Harcourt and an M.Sc. from the University of London. Her professional credentials include being a certified Project Management Professional (PMPĀ®).
