Diego Moreno leads the hydrogen and low-carbon fuels strategy at Edmonton International Airport, where he directs an end-to-end hydrogen business development initiative spanning production, infrastructure, and fueling applications, alongside a multi-project decarbonization portfolio that uses YEG as a real-world testbed for clean energy deployment. He also serves as Program Director at the Edmonton Region Hydrogen Hub, coordinating regional infrastructure strategy across government, utilities, and major industry partners. In 2025, he led the successful Alberta Innovates grant application that funded YEG's hydrogen dual-fuel pilot. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and an international patent in hydrogen production technology, and is completing an Executive MBA. Diego also sits on the Board of Hydrogen Alberta.
