Makini Byron has more than fifteen years’ experience in both technology and business development in the industrial gas and energy sectors. As a Director of Clean Energy at Linde, Ms. Byron evaluates and develops new business opportunities for clean hydrogen and carbon capture to support the company’s growth ambitions. Ms. Byron specializes in project management, emerging market research, techno-economic analysis, and building strategic partnerships. She brings a deep understanding of various value chains and technology developments that can benefit the growing clean energy industry.  Previously, she was responsible for identifying startups for joint development or investment and led external funding management for US and Canada. She holds an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University and is a registered Project Management Professional.
