As Director, Climate Policy and Performance Measurement, Craig works within Emissions Reduction Alberta’s (ERA) Strategy and Policy team to provide leadership and oversight of the organisation’s emissions reduction policy and quantification framework, and works with teams across ERA to translate and communicate ERA’s performance outcomes and data in alignment with Government of Alberta objectives and priorities.
Craig draws on his varied experiences in different sectors, including water, pulp and paper, petrochemicals and government, to deliver practical outcomes. He has developed water management plans and business plans for a water company in England and helped to steer the research and innovation portfolio for a large petrochemical company in Saudi Arabia. Craig has also developed policies and programs for the Government of Alberta to incent investment in large capital-intensive projects. Prior to joining ERA, Craig supported Alberta’s forest companies by building and maintaining relationships with government in his capacity as Director of Environment and Regulatory Affairs at Alberta Forest Products Association (AFPA).
