2023 Technical Courses

Zachary (Zak) Cunningham is an Energy Systems Analyst with the Transition Accelerator. He recently graduated with an M.Sc. in Sustainable Energy Development from the University of Calgary and also holds a B.Eng (Hons) in Petroleum Engineering and a diploma in Petroleum Engineering Technology. His research interests include hydrogen development in the north and methane emissions quantification and reduction. Before entering advanced studies, Zachary spent extensive time on drilling and workover rigs in Western Canada and offshore in Malaysia in various roles, giving him a solid operational hands-on background in the upstream oil and gas industry. Before studying at the University of Calgary, he spent nearly a decade overseas in Southeast Asia and has a keen interest in the outdoors and sustainability.
